Experienced Chicago Judge Megan Goldish

Based in Chicago, Illinois, Judge Megan Goldish has more than two decades of legal experience, including over a decade as a judge. Elected to the Circuit Court of Cook County in 2014, her daily responsibilities vary depending on her case load, but often include pre-trial activities, legal research, and the review of various confidential records and motions. Judge Megan Goldish regularly oversees hearings on orders of protection, among other orders, and frequently presides over domestic violence first appearance court hearings, among many other judicial responsibilities.

Additionally, Megan Goldish engages with numerous professional organizations. She is a member and fellow of the American Bar Association (ABA) and has served on many ABA committees, including the Antisemitism Task Force. Her other professional affiliations include the Decalogue Society of Lawyers, the Illinois Judges Association, and the Lesbian and Gay Bar Association of Chicago, among others.

Judge Goldish graduated magna cum laude from the University of Illinois, Champaign / Urbana. She earned her law degree from the Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, graduating with honors. While at the school, she served as the corresponding secretary for the Journal of International Law and Business, among other campus activities. She currently serves as adjunct faculty at the Law School.
